Terms of Service

Effective: 30 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and WAASI PTY LTD (ACN 665 977 382, ABN 82 665 977 382), Australia. By creating an account or using Pranote, you agree to them.

1. What Pranote is

Pranote is a reference and compliance tool for Australian aged care and NDIS support workers. It provides general information about first aid, the NDIS Practice Standards, the Aged Care Quality Standards and related regulatory obligations.

Pranote does not provide medical advice, and it does not provide legal advice. It does not diagnose, treat or make clinical decisions, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, paramedic, nurse or other qualified professional. Responses are generated by AI and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. See the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

In an emergency, call 000.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. You must use Pranote in the course of your work or training as a care worker, and in accordance with your employer's policies and your own scope of practice.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

exercise your own professional judgement at all times and not rely on Pranote as your sole basis for acting;

follow your employer's policies and procedures, which take precedence over anything Pranote says; and

not enter information that identifies a client, colleague or other person.

You agree not to use Pranote unlawfully, attempt to access other users' data, copy or resell the service, or use it to provide services to others as though it were your own.

4. Subscriptions, free trial and payment

Subscriptions. Subscriptions are bought and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's or Google's terms and policies, including their billing, cancellation and refund rules. Current prices are shown in the app in Australian dollars (AUD).

Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial of one week through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The free trial is available to new subscribers only and is subject to the app store's rules. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to a paid subscription and your account will be charged.

Billing. All payments are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel. We never see or store your card details.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings or your Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel your subscription for you, and deleting your Pranote account does not cancel it.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Price changes. We may change prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you type into Pranote. You grant us a licence to use it to operate the service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate a response.

We may use anonymised and aggregated information, from which no individual can be identified, to improve Pranote.

6. Our content

Pranote, including its software, design and written content, is owned by WAASI PTY LTD. You may use responses in the course of your work. You may not republish, resell or redistribute Pranote's content as a product of your own.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Pranote available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features.

Pranote requires an internet connection. Do not rely on it being available in an emergency.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees.

For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 8, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any decision you make, or any action you take or do not take, based on information provided by Pranote.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or loss of data.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Pranote in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Indemnity

You indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of Pranote, or your entry of information about another person without authority. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own negligence or breach.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms or use Pranote unlawfully. Where practical we will give notice first.

You can close your account at any time under Profile in the app. Closing your account deletes your data and does not entitle you to a refund of the current period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires one.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Pranote after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
